In response to the significant reduction in international passenger flights at various ports, China Post restarted the Zhengzhou port peak season hub function, booked European and North American road freighters, promoted the opening of postal routes to South Korea, and carried out network-wide mail distribution. On March 18, the "Zhengzhou-Seoul" route of China Post Airlines was officially opened. The route operates every Friday and runs from Tuesday to Saturday. Starting from March 17, Post Airlines will add one overtime flight on the basis of the regular flights on the "Shanghai Pudong-Osaka, Japan" route. In the context of the drastic reduction in passenger flights affected by the epidemic, resulting in a shortage of aircraft belly space resources, especially in the context of tight international air cargo resources, China Post added "Shanghai Pudong-Osaka, Japan" cargo overtime flights and opened the "Zhengzhou-Seoul" route Has special significance. In order to mitigate the impact of the epidemic on air transportation, China Post, with the support of the General Administration of Customs, set up international mail relay stations in Fuzhou, Xiamen, Zhengzhou, Weihai and other places to speed up mail evacuation; promptly notify foreign postal organizations of imports and exports Mail processing situation, coordinate postal services of various countries to do a good job of explaining to the sender; strengthen active communication with customs and other departments, open a green customs clearance channel for epidemic prevention materials, and ensure that the related materials are processed quickly and delivered in a timely manner.
While ensuring the smooth import and export channels of international mail, Post, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places also adopted strict prevention and control measures to effectively prevent the cross-border spread of New Coronavirus through international imported mail.
Beijing Post Air Mail Processing Center strictly implements the main responsibility of corporate epidemic prevention and control, implements various prevention and control measures, strengthens the external prevention of imports and internal prevention of proliferation management, and forms a strict and seamless closed loop of responsibility, management, control and work. The center adopts epidermal spray disinfection on all packaging and transport carriers such as containers, bucket trucks, pallet trucks, etc. that receive international incoming mail received from airlines, and then spray disinfects the internal mail package. The general mail package to the port in the epidemic area adopts the key precautionary measures of multi-frequency disinfection and reprocessing after ventilation.
From February 1 to March 17, Shanghai Post ’s international import mail volume increased by 12% year-on-year.
